Job Overview

Alert Engine Parts is seeking 2 General Workers to join our warehouse team in Polokwane. The successful candidates will be responsible for general warehouse duties such as stock handling, binning, picking, packing, and maintaining cleanliness and order in the facility.

Key Responsibilities

Binning & Stock Handling

• Allocate incoming merchandise to correct bin locations.

• Replenish stock from bulk to pick locations as per SOPs.

• Assign bin locations to new products.

• Ensure bin updates and new allocations are reported and documented.

• Receive and check incoming goods according to company standards.

Picking & Packing

• Pick orders for customers and branches within cut-off times.

• Pick from bulk only when pick locations are depleted or for bulk orders.

• Ensure breakage of pack sizes is avoided.

• Perform double checks to ensure order accuracy.

• Assist with stock taking and cycle counts.

Housekeeping

• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse daily.

Scanner Control

• Issue and log scanners to operators using the electronic system.

• Inspect returned scanners for damage.

• Log scanner returns and report damage to the supervisor.

• Maintain daily scanner issue records.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Grade 12 / Matric (Literacy and Numeracy equivalent).

• Experience:

  • At least 3 years in a warehouse or logistics environment (Desirable).

  • Knowledge of spares, motor, or engine parts preferred.

  • Familiarity with warehouse systems and procedures.
