Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking General Worker to join our Production team within the Fresh Packaging division. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a range of basic and general duties which include shrink-wrapping, sorting damaged products, loading, cleaning, and any other tasks as directed by the Production team. The role is crucial in supporting the efficient operation of the packaging line and maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out basic and general operational tasks within the production environment

• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure work is completed accurately and safely

• Assist in handling, packaging, and moving products

• Support in shrink-wrapping and sorting damaged goods for reprocessing or disposal

• Maintain clean and hygienic work areas in line with housekeeping standards

• Adhere strictly to all Health and Safety policies and procedures

• Be flexible to perform any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by supervisors or management

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification

• Ability to communicate fluently in Business English

• Physically fit and able to work in demanding environments, including extreme conditions (cold/hot)

• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as scheduled

• Must successfully pass all required Readiness Assessments
