Salary: R 193,359 per annum
Minimum Requirements:
-
A minimum of Grade 10 certificate or equivalent NQF Level 2 qualification.
-
A valid South African driver’s license is required.
-
A valid forklift driver’s license is essential for this role.
-
Previous working experience in warehouse operations, distribution, or dispatching will be considered an added advantage.

Must be physically fit and capable of lifting and carrying heavy loads.
-
Willingness to work extended hours or shift work, including weekends or public holidays when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Receiving and Inspecting Deliveries:
-
Receive incoming stock and verify quantities and quality against delivery paperwork.
-
Use appropriate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and trolleys to offload and transport stock.
-
Identify any discrepancies or damages in stock and immediately report them to the supervisor for further action.
-
Confirm receipt of correct stock and ensure proper documentation is completed and signed.
-
Sort and store received stock in designated storage areas in accordance with warehouse layout and safety procedures.
2. Inventory Management and FIFO System:
-
Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) principles by placing older stock at the front to ensure timely usage.

Assist with organising the warehouse for effective stock rotation and storage.
-
Clearly label and mark storage locations and stock items for easy identification and tracking.
-
Keep the warehouse clean, neat, and orderly to support efficient operations.
3. Stock Picking, Packing, and Dispatching:
-
Respond to internal stock requisitions, transfer orders, or picking slips from departments or clients.

Pick the correct items in the right quantities from storage.
-
Safely pack stock using appropriate materials to avoid damage during transportation.
-
Prepare and check all necessary documentation before dispatching items.
-
Move packed items to the dispatch area for delivery or collection.
4. Stock Control and Reporting:
-
Conduct regular checks to ensure stock is stored correctly and securely.
-
Participate actively in weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual stock counts.
-
Conduct spot checks to detect and report any instances of stock shrinkage, loss, or damage.
-
Monitor stock levels and alert the Warehouse Clerk or Supervisor when replenishment is needed.
5. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance (SHERQ):
-
Adhere to safety and health standards in accordance with company policies and legal regulations.

Always wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) during operational duties.

Report safety hazards, damaged equipment, or any violations of warehouse protocols immediately.
-
Ensure all machinery and equipment, including forklifts, are regularly inspected, cleaned, and properly maintained.

Keep warehouse aisles clear and accessible to ensure safe and efficient movement of equipment and personnel.
6. General Warehouse Support:
-
Provide general assistance to other warehouse and regional office staff when needed.
-
Familiarise yourself with other processes and departments within the warehouse to offer support during staff absences or peak workload periods.

Assist with administrative duties related to stock management and inventory systems.
