This is a fantastic chance to learn in-depth information and obtain experience in the fascinating and complicated software sector. In our Johannesburg offices, we are looking for a Payroll Support Analyst to join our expanding Support team.
You will be tasked with helping clients with questions and issues with the Payroll KCS application software as a crucial member of the Payroll Support team. Along with these additional services, the department offers its clients consumer training and the installation of new software. Since the primary responsibility of this position is to help clients with the payroll features of our software, the ideal applicant would preferably have a strong understanding of accounting, payroll concepts, and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with issues and questions about the payroll application software
- Use analytical and inquisitive skills to answer problems accurately.
Determine and duplicate issues that call for a development team to update the product. - As a member of the support team, collaborate with different departments to offer customers solutions.
- actively taking charge of a broad range of calls and issues
- Making certain that every call is handled quickly and effectively in compliance with the Service Level Agreement
- Specifically, managing, setting priorities, and advancing their adopted calls
- effectively using the call logging system and making sure that calls are updated often with activities completed
- providing clients with regular updates on the status of their calls
addressing consumer complaints and requests for call escalation in an efficient manner - recognizing calls that do not support calls and handling them in accordance with the right protocols, such as after-sales conversations, paid support calls, modification requests, and system change requests
- Proactively and continuously learning about and maintaining expertise in KCS systems and products
- proactively acquiring and sharing knowledge through the use of the right tools Collaborating with the Support Team and other departments to ensure that customers receive efficient, timely service
- Notifying the Application Support Manager and Team Leaders of any critical customer issues as needed
- observing and putting into practice the common practices and procedures for commercial software support

Key Requirements
Knowledge and Experience:
Essential
- Payroll analysts will be well-versed in accounting and payroll concepts in general.
- Understanding of the requirements for Payroll Compliance
and exceptional communication skills both in writing and speaking - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and extensive understanding of Excel
Desirable
- A degree, BTEC, HND, or AAT in accounting or business studies would be appropriate for a payroll analyst.
- Knowledge of typical business operations, payroll systems, and payroll procedures; familiarity with software support environments or something comparable
