Job Responsibilities
- handles payments to investigators by: Keeping the IMPACT and Medidata Systems’ investigator payment section up to date;
- examining data quality and completeness with the project manager;
- utilizing the IMPACT and Medidata systems to process authorized grant payment requests, create them, forward them, and communicate with A/P; and
- paying investigators at the appropriate locations
- collaborates with internal departments like clinical operations, project management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and site contracts
- teams to facilitate site payments. collaborates with colleagues in the region to guarantee a comprehensive worldwide perspective on project funding and payment status.
- Works in tandem with project management and accounts receivable to guarantee that deposits are accessible prior to site payments being processed and that sponsors provide advance money for global project needs on a timely basis.
- As needed, creates, updates, and reconciles the MS Excel Project Grant Tracker.
- Examines and scrutinizes Clinical Trial Agreements (CTAs) and CTA modifications to guarantee that funds are disbursed in compliance with the specified terms and timetable. If there are differences, they should be brought up with their line manager or the relevant project team member.
- explains duties and obligations and, if necessary, guides project teams through the system’s navigation and grant payment procedure.

- gathers synthesizes, and produces information as needed to support sponsor invoices.
- finds inconsistencies in invoices, follows up on past-due invoices, and collaborates with the clinical team to ask sites for reimbursements.
- Ensures that third-party invoices related to investigator payments have the appropriate account and project coding applied to them.
- Produces project reports in response to requests from sponsors, operations, accounting, and/or higher management in order to support monthly closing procedures, ad hoc financial analysis, and Sunshine Act reporting.
- helps with site payments and sponsor deposit audits for customers.
- instructs and guides less seasoned employees in the use of departmental templates, tools, processes, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- There may be very little (up to 25%) travel needed.
- interacts with sponsor apps and systems as needed for the project.
Qualifications
What we’re looking for
- a business or accounting BA/BS degree, or a comparable background and education.
- strong experience with spreadsheet analysis in Excel. proficiency with email, voicemail, and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Oracle knowledge is not required, however, it is encouraged.
- Proficiency in a foreign language is preferred.
- Capacity to prioritize and arrange tasks in order to fulfil deadlines in a changing setting.
- Above-average interpersonal abilities with a focus on teamwork, as well as attention to detail.
