JOB SALARY:
Grade 1: R431 265 per annum
Grade 2: R528 696 per annum Plus 13th cheque, medical-aid (optional) home-owners allowance (employee
must meet the prescribed requirements)
JOB LOCATION: Greys Campus, Pietermaritzburg
REQUIREMENTS:
Senior Certificate/Grade 12 plus Diploma/Degree in Nursing (General and Midwifery) plus Post-Registration Nursing Education Qualification Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) plus Current Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) (2023).
Additionally at least four (4) years of relevant experience following registration as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council in General Nursing (or, in the event of a grade 1 PND1, at least four (4) years of cognate experience) ten (10) years of the time period mentioned above must be appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing education (in the case of grade 2 PND 2), out of a minimum of fourteen (14) years of appropriate/recognizable experience after registration as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council in General Nursing. Suggestions: Post-Basic (R212) Master’s Degree in Nursing Qualification.
Knowledge, Skills, Attributes and Abilities:
Be familiar with the essential Acts, Rules, Guidelines, and Policy frameworks that govern the field in which you operate. possess a thorough understanding of all protocols and procedures pertaining to nursing practice and education. familiarity with nursing education curricula and programs. possesses solid knowledge and comprehension of professional practice and the nursing code of ethics. possess a thorough understanding of clinical and teaching methodologies.
Possess strong analytical and research abilities. proficiency at handling conflicts. possesses strong interpersonal and communication abilities. a readiness to travel. proficiency with computers.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
In the R171 and Post Basic Nursing Programs, give student nurses excellent and efficient clinical instruction. Create/design, assess, and appraise clinical assessment instruments. Organize student nurse exposure to clinical settings by coordinating between the campus and clinical regions. Determine the competencies of student nurses by putting evaluation methodologies into practice. Maintain authority over student nurses. Put the nursing education institution’s quality management system into action.
Take part in the programs offered by the campus for Continuous Professional Development (CPD). Engage in the College’s governing structures. Encourage the college’s mission and cultivate its reputation.
