We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic team as a Workshop Assistant.


Key Responsibilities

As a Workshop Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of our workshop and refurbishment centre. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Booking and Dispatching: Coordinating the booking and dispatch of repaired units from the workshop, ensuring timely and efficient processing.

  • Quotation Preparation: Generating accurate quotations for cash repairs, ensuring all necessary details are captured and communicated to customers.

  • Customer Coordination: Following up on completed repairs and arranging collections or deliveries with customers and courier services.

  • Warranty Processing: Verifying warranty exchange returns and processing corresponding credits through the SAP system.

  • Invoice and Documentation Management: Tracking service exchange invoices and proof of delivery (POD) documentation to ensure timely billing and record-keeping.

  • Customer Interaction: Responding promptly and professionally to customer inquiries related to workshop services and repairs.

  • Daily Workshop Support: Assisting with day-to-day workshop operations, including receiving and storing parts, tools, and equipment.

  • Housekeeping: Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workshop and refurbishment centre environment.

  • Relief Duties: Providing backup support to the Truck Assistant when required, including loading/unloading deliveries and assisting with logistics.


Minimum Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following minimum qualifications and competencies:

  • Education: A minimum of Grade 12 (Matric).

  • Experience: Proven experience in a similar workshop, logistics, or technical support environment.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in data entry, documentation, and record-keeping.

  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

  • Customer Service: A customer-centric approach with the ability to interact professionally with clients.

  • Computer Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.

  • License: A valid driver’s license is essential.
