About the Role

FlySafair is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Inventory Assistant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring efficient warehouse operations, and upholding the high standards of safety, quality, and compliance that FlySafair is known for.

This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently, handle sensitive materials with care, and support smooth warehouse logistics within a fast-paced aviation environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently move inventory and materials across various departments and storage facilities.

  • Process and prepare inventory for deliveries and internal distribution.

  • Sort, label, organize, and store inventory in designated areas.

  • Package items correctly according to SOPs and labeling protocols.

  • Report damaged or missing stock to supervisors immediately.

  • Stack and manage bulk items systematically to optimize space.

  • Accurately update inventory logs and documents for all transactions.

  • Conduct routine warehouse cleaning and maintenance tasks.

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock control.

  • Assist with internal and external audits by maintaining up-to-date and compliant records.

  • Handle delicate or high-value items with utmost care to avoid damages or losses.

  • Operate and maintain warehouse tools and equipment as required.

  • Follow quality service standards and comply with all internal regulations.

  • Perform daily cycle counts and collaborate with the Inventory Clerk to resolve discrepancies.


Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric certificate (Essential).

  • Warehouse Training certification (Advantageous).

  • Dangerous Goods and Aircraft Spares Packaging certification (Highly Advantageous).

  • 1–2 years of administrative experience in a medium-sized organization (Essential).

  • Willingness and ability to work overtime when operationally required.

  • Commitment to working 24-hour shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays (Essential).

  • Working knowledge of warehousing standards and procedures.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Advantageous).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to multitask and remain organized under pressure.
