Current Vacancies:

1. Housekeeping Staff (x2 positions) – Based in Umhlanga, Durban

Role Purpose:
As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness across the branch. Your efforts will ensure that our environment is always safe, presentable, and welcoming to both customers and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure all areas of the branch, including workspaces, restrooms, and exterior areas such as the car park, are kept clean, tidy, and hygienic at all times.

• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors; clean walls, furniture, TV screens, and fixtures.

• Collect and dispose of refuse correctly. Sanitize and replace refuse bags in bins.

• Maintain the cleanliness of restrooms, ensuring they are stocked and hygienic.

• Clean air conditioning filters on a weekly basis.

• Monitor the condition of tables and chairs in gaming areas, reporting any repairs or replacements needed.

• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and appropriately.

• Report breakages and request replenishment of cleaning supplies when needed.

Requirements:

• Prior housekeeping experience is essential.

• Matric or equivalent qualification is advantageous.

• Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to work independently.

2. Betting Clerk – Based in Voortrekker, Western Cape

Role Purpose:
As a Betting Clerk, you will play a key role in the daily operations of the branch. This includes handling customer bets, managing cash, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring full compliance with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Branch Operations and Sales:

• Manage the processing of bets, payouts, and customer inquiries efficiently.

• Ensure betting boards and memos are updated accurately and timeously.

• Understand betting rules, odds, and payout procedures.

• Monitor confirmation limits and liaise with the Betting Support Centre for large bets.

Cash Management:

• Handle cash responsibly and according to Hollywoodbets’ standard operating procedures.

• Perform interim checks throughout the day and balance cash at the end of each shift.

• Declare and reconcile all cash shortages and overages immediately.

Branch Appearance and Maintenance:

• Maintain a neat and orderly workstation and ensure the branch meets Hollywoodbets standards.

• Promptly report equipment issues or terminal malfunctions.

Customer Service:

• Foster a customer-centric environment by being friendly, helpful, and courteous.

• Address and resolve customer complaints with a professional attitude.

• Build positive relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.

Compliance and Company Values:

• Follow internal control procedures and ethical guidelines at all times.

• Wear the appropriate Hollywoodbets uniform during duty hours.

• Ensure compliance with betting regulations (e.g., no credit bets, uniform policy during personal betting).

• Promote and live the Hollywoodbets core values in all interactions.

Requirements:

• 1–2 years of experience in the gaming or betting industry.

• Matric certificate and a valid driver’s license are advantageous.

• Strong numeracy skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage pressure.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
